Water Matters make visible my experience of the waters of four North Carolina Rivers and the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. The works trace the movement of each body of water and document my findings at specific sites. Working outdoors in the oceans and in the rivers allows me to physically and sensually experience the topography, climate, time and space of each place. I notice the relationship between beauty and danger and what is ephemeral and durable.
